Recovery Begins With Connection

You are not alone.
Peer support is built on hope, connection, belonging, and shared lived experiences.
We provide free peer support programs and services, grounded in shared lived experience, for individuals in Greater Sudbury, Manitoulin Island, Espanola and Elliot Lake. Programs are available in person and virtually, providing flexible ways for people to connect and participate.
Our peer-led groups and programs include recovery-focused groups such as Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP), the Holistic Arts Program (HAP), Sharing Circles, and other wellness and creative connection opportunities. Brief one-to-one peer support is also available in person or virtually by appointment.
We also work in partnership with Health Sciences North to provide on-site peer support within the Emergency Department, the Addictions Medicine Unit, and the LOTUS Program, a transitional supportive housing program for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness and related mental health and substance use health challenges.
We also offer peer support services through the Greater Sudbury HART Hub, part of the Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) initiative.
Through the MAPS (Mental Health and Addictions Peer Support) Program, delivered in partnership with the Ministry of the Solicitor General, we provide peer support for individuals on probation and parole. MAPS Peer Support Workers draw on lived experience to support connection, wellness, harm reduction and access to appropriate community resources.
Finally, our Regional Warm Line 1-866-856-9276 provides free and confidential peer support from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Callers can talk about their day, share what is on their mind, or simply connect with someone who understands. The Regional Warm Line is not a crisis line.

Peer Support North programs support people to build on their strengths, pursue their own goals, and discover new opportunities through connection, and meaningful community participation.
